The center fielder opened the bottom of the fifth with a triple and reeled off an almost impossible stolen run out of a rundown situation before heavy rains flooded Monday’s series with Danville at Joe O’Brien Field.
Tied 5-5 with one out in the fifth, the third game of a series controlled by the Braves will resume in Danville on Aug. 12.
“It didn’t take a meteorologist to see we were going to get hammered,” said Twins manager Ray Smith. “It was going to rain 40 days and 40 nights in just a couple of minutes.”
