Two people sought to participate in Project Lifesaver
Carter County/Elizabethton SALT (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together) Council members are seeking two people who are prone to wander to take part in Project Lifesaver, a program which uses a bracelet to help police locate missing individuals.
Last September, the local SALT Council placed its first bracelet on the wrist of Carroll “Shorty” Wiseman, a Long Hollow resident who lives with his wife. Wiseman, a dementia patient, was prone to wander and his wife sought help to keep him safe. They signed up for Project Lifesaver and the SALT Council chose him to become the first participant.
