Standing in the way of Unaka’s eighth trip to the state tournament since 2003 is a familiar foe. The Rangers will travel to Rockwood on Friday with a trip to Murfreesboro on the line.
The Rangers enter the game at 16-12 and knows what’s at stake. Rockwood will offer up an impressive 24-7 mark.
The Tigers have won 12 straight and 17 of their last 18 games. But the two teams display opposite contrasting styles for one another.
The Tigers rely on its offense. Unaka hangs its hat on pitching and solid defense. Rangers coach Tee Blevins knows those two must work hand-in-hand against the potent offense of the Tigers.
