Football fans on Stoney Creek haven’t had a lot to cheer about this year, but they’ve been treated to watching one of Northeast Tennessee’s finest defensive players perform in a Ranger uniform.
Austin Anderson will suit up for what will be his final game at Cosby on Friday night unless Unaka makes the playoffs. The Rangers need to win and get a little help from a pair of teams to make the Class 1-A playoffs, but the odds are more in their favor than not.
The Rangers have won their last two contests and have scored 78 points in doing so. Part of that can be attributed to Anderson, who moved from his wide receiver position to running back.
