Unicoi County twice denies Unaka

The boys and girls from Erwin scored a pair of non-conference wins in Stoney Creek Tuesday night, but the Creekers would make their presence felt.

The Lady Blue Devils would be pushed to the limit against the Lady Rangers in the first varsity contest, but pulled away with a 68-61 win. The Blue Devils wrapped up the nightcap of varsity action with a 60-48 triumph over the Rangers.

Both squads with be in conference action Friday, as Unicoi County travels to Sullivan North High School for Three Rivers Conference play while Unaka will travel to Hampton for Watuaga Valley Conference action.
