Unicoi hands EHS girls first league loss

ERWIN—It’s now a little crowded at the top of the Three Rivers Conference mountain for the ladies.
Unicoi County (13-7, 4-1) knotted up the season series with the Elizabethton Lady Cyclones with a 45-38 win in front of a packed house at the Devils’ Den Tuesday night.
With district tournament drawings going in favor of the Unicoi County, the Lady Devils now control the destiny en route to a conference by holding the tiebreaker over ’Betsy.
Coming off an 80-60 win on Saturday against Sullivan East, defense would prove to be the big factor for the Devils’ second-straight conference win.
