The United Way of Elizabethton/Carter County is accepting funding applications for non-profit agencies to receive funds raised during the 2015 campaign.
United Way Director Debbie Guy said representatives of agencies interested in receiving funding from the United Way for the upcoming campaign need to turn in an application. This include the nine non-profit agencies currently getting support from the United Way.
For the 2014 campaign, the United Way helps with funding for Adult Day Services, the American Red Cross, Assistance Resource Ministries, the Boys and Girls Club of Elizabethton, Contact Ministries, Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center, the Neighborhood Service Center and Personal Support Services.
“The agencies each touch a different part of the community,” Guy said. “These agencies help children and the elderly. They provide assistance with utilities and other needs.”
