Warriors done after loss to Unicoi Co.

By

Pitching from behind against a good hitting team will get you in trouble every time. On Wednesday evening at Anglin Field in the District 1-AA baseball losers’ bracket elimination game, Happy Valley’s pitching may have been Unicoi County’s BFF.
“A good team like Unicoi you can’t get behind in the count,” said Warriors head coach Caleb Moore. “This year, when we got first-pitch strikes, hitters only hit .190 against us, which shows the importance of getting ahead. It’s a great learning experience for our fellas. There comes a point where, you won’t have your best stuff every night, but we have to make the plays behind him.”
