JOHNSON CITY — Happy Valley’s boys would certainly like to have Friday night’s game back.
After fighting to a second-half lead, missed shot opportunities and costly turnovers derailed the Warriors in a 58-52 road loss at Providence Academy.
Happy Valley trailed by as many as 10 in the first half, but surged within two by the end of the second quarter.
A 9-2 run then built a lead of as many as five for the visitors in the third quarter. But Providence willed its way ahead and failed to make the same mistakes that trapped the tribe in the final eight minutes.
