Melissa Humphrey Armbrister and Matthew Hathaway Cooter exchanged vows during a wedding ceremony held on the terrace of the General Morgan Inn in Greeneville at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.
Dr. Curtis Booher officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Craig and Beverly Fincher, Columbia, Tenn.
She is the granddaughter of Betty Waldrum, Columbia, Tenn., and the late Neal Waldrum.
The groom is the son of Betty Lou and Millard Day, and the late Doyle D. and Doris Cooter.
He is the grandson of the late Harry and Sarah Hathaway, and the late Doyle and Dorothy Cooter.
Brooks Gray played acoustic guitar for the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her son, Drew Armbrister. She wore a strapless, knee-length ivory dress made of silk taffeta and wore hot pink heels.
She carried a bridal bouquet of cream hydrangeas, hot pink peonies and garden roses, green spider mums and kermit poms and orange spray roses.
Daughter Addy and son Drew stood with the bride.
Addy also served as the flower girl and worse a floor-length dress of hot pink taffeta with silk chiffon ruffles.
The groom’s daughter, Katie, stood with her father and wore a hot pink one-shoulder knee-length dress of silk chiffon.
The bride’s son, Drew, carried the rings.
A reception followed the ceremony and was also held on the terrace at the General Morgan Inn. Disc jockey Robbie Britton provided the music for dancing.
After a honeymoon to Gros Islet, St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Greeneville.
