Alicson Jaymes Ault and Brooks Thomas Monroe were united in marriage at The Barn at Boone Falls in Johnson City on Saturday, July 7, 2012. The Reverend Paul Ault Sr., grandfather of the bride, officiated the exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Burnie and Peggy Ault of Elizabethton. Grandparents are Paul and Pauline Ault of Erwin, and the late Raymond and Alice Vines.
The groom is the son of Geddie and Linda Monroe of Elizabethton. Grandparents are the late Dr. Geddie and Bette Monroe and the late Jim and Shirley Cox.
A solo was provided during the ceremony by Jerran Gouge.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless bodice gown that was ornate with lace detail featuring crystal and pearl beading, a corset back and a chapel-length train.
Her bouquet was arranged with red and pink gerbera daisies, mums and lilies.
Davidlynn Jenkins, brother of the bride, served as man of honor.
Maids of honor were Amanda Hathaway and Randi Collins. Bridesmaids were Ryann Musick, Megan Monroe and Jessica Carpenter. Each wore a knee-length apple red dress.
Jonah Vines, cousin of the bride, and Zane Bernard, nephew of the groom, were the ring bearers. Kelsey Wood and Kayla Parson, cousins of the bride, were the flower girls.
Adam Monroe, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Weston Jeffers, Ryan Cox, Dustin Henson and Jerran Gouge.
A reception was held following the ceremony at The Barn.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, the couple are residing in Elizabethton.
