Call – Carden

Alisha Tracey Call and Adam Wayne Carden were united in marriage during an outdoor ceremony at Meredith Valley Farm in Elizabethton on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 5 p.m. Rev. Layne Pennington officiated the double-ring exchange of vows.

There was an additional wedding held at the Titusville Garden Club in Titusville, Fla., on Friday, October 21, 2011.

The bride is the daughter of Stephanie Call of Titusville, Fla., and Jack Ghiz Jr. of Melbourne, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Penny Call of Elizabethton and the late Ralph Call, and Jack and Marilyn Ghiz Sr. of Melbourne, Fla.

The groom is the son of Timmy and Patricia Carden of Elizabethton. He is the grandson of the late Rev. Hoover and Rada Williams and the late Gilbert and Shirley Carden.

A program of classical music was provided by the bride’s high school music teacher, Jim Matthews, of Titusville, Fla.

Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a white satin ball gown adorned with beaded lace features and back button detailing enhanced by a cathedral train with cut-out lace appliques.

She carried a bouquet of white roses and orange California poppies adorned with pearls.

Michele Hayes of Merritt Island, Fla., friend of the bride, served as the matron of honor. She wore a short charmeuse strapless dress with a ruched waist in a purple color.

Holly Mayhue of Saugerties, N.Y., cousin of the bride, and Brandy Wooten of Titusville, Fla., friend of the bride, attended as bridesmaids. Each wore a short charmeuse strapless dress with a ruched waist in a purple color.

Flower girl was Emily Burnett of Palm Bay, Fla., cousin of the bride, who was attired in a white dress matching that of the bride.

Travis Hayes of Merritt Island, Fla., friend of the bride, was the ring bearer.

Jerry Agan III of Elizabethton, friend of the groom, served as best man.

Jeremy Wright and Stephen Brickey of Elizabethton, friends of the groom, served as groomsmen.

Serving as ushers were Nathan Haerr of Johnson City, friend of the groom, and Luke Farmer of Palm Bay, Fla., friend of the bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at Meredith Valley Farm in Elizabethton. An additional reception was held at the Titusville Garden Club in Titusville, Fla., on Friday, October 21, 2011.

The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas.

The couple will reside in Elizabethton.
