Lisa Maria Cole and Matthew Lee Hayes were united in marriage during a double-ring ceremony at The Martha Washington Inn, Abingdon, Va., on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Pastor Eddie Leonard officiated the 2 p.m. exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Mike and Zeola Cole of Elizabethton. She is the granddaughter of the late Allene Blevins.
The groom is the son of Larry and Deborah Hayes of Swords Creek, Va. He is the grandson of Dorce White, the late Louise White, and Lois Hays.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an embellished lace A-line Maggie Sottero gown adorned with crystal tulle and hand-sewn flowers. The gown was finished with Swarovski crystals, a corset back closure and a semi-cathedral train.
She carried a bouquet mixed with white roses and lilies and white/blue delphinium.
Matron of honor was Lori Royston, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Julia Church, Grace Harrison and Kaysi Royston, niece of the bride. Each attendant wore a floor-length sea blue chiffon dress with empire waist and a one-shoulder flowered strap.
Flower girl was Hallie Hayes, niece of the groom.
Ring bearers were Caleb and Cash Royston, nephews of the bride.
Best man was Chad Burks.
Groomsmen were Nathan Hayes, brother of the groom, Phillip Brooks and Chance Dye.
After the ceremony a reception was held in the Edith Wilson Parlor of the Inn.
Following their honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple are residing in Elizabethton.
