Taylor Lane Cooter and Jonathan Leichliter were united in marriage during a candlelight ceremony at First Baptist Church of Elizabethton on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 2 p.m. Roland Whittemore officiated the double-ring exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Claudia Lane and Michael Cooter. She is the granddaughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harold Lane, Mrs. Betty Lou Day and the late Doyle Cooter.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Leichliter of Piney Flats. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Raver, the late Mary Jane Daniels-Leichliter and the late Ronald Saxton.
A program of wedding music was provided by John Bunn and Renee Huntsinger.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was attired in a diamond white Maggie Sottero bridal gown of whisper chiffon with beaded embellishments of Swarovski crystals. The A-line skirt was attached to a folded chiffon Empire fitted waistline with beaded straps on a strapless yoke. The skirt cascaded into a full-length chapel train.
Her fingertip veil of imported English bridal illusion was framed with silver crystalette and bugle beading.
Her bridal bouquet, consisting of calla lilies, tiger lilies and peacock feathers, was designed by Benny Buck.
Haley Gregory, attending the bride as matron of honor, wore a designer gown of marine blue chiffon featuring a sweetheart neckline falling to a tea-length skirt.
Bridesmaids were Emily Griffith, Britney Langley, Annie Tull, Andrea Ottinger and Hannah Buckles. They were attired identically to the matron of honor.
Flower girl was Kaylee Hollifield.
Ring bearers were Harrison and Cole Pritchett.
Christopher Carter served the groom as best man.
Ushers were Ben Leichliter, Blake Silcox, Matt Cole, Josh Barrett, Chris Blevins, Justin Cooter, Michael Buckles, Chris Whitaker and Brady Thomas.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Johnson City Country Club.
The couple honeymooned at an undisclosed destination.
The bride was honored with several showers prior to the wedding.
