Carrie Dale Culver and William Gregory Coleman were united in marriage during a candlelight ceremony at First Baptist Church of Elizabethton on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 5 p.m. Dr. James L. Street officiated the double-ring rites.
The bride is the daughter of Richard and Becky Culver, 743 Fairway Drive, Elizabethton. She is the granddaughter of the late Joseph and Mary Vaught and the late Carl and Maude Culver.
The groom is the son of Colonel Robert and Cheryl Coleman, 688 Ternberry Forest Drive, The Villages, Fla. He is the grandson of Lt. Col. Everett G. Walker of Pensacola, Fla., and the late Jane L. Walker, and the late Col. Robert G. Coleman and Dorothy S. Coleman.
A program of wedding music was presented by David Arney.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless gown of ivory chiffon featuring a beaded Empire waist.
Her bouquet consisted of ivory roses and hydrangeas.
Attending the bride as matrons of honor were Ashley Birchfield Blevins and Amber Street Wilkinson. Each was attired in a strapless dress of watermelon satin.
Bridesmaids were Marla Mills Mazzarella, Meg Mills Michaud and Linda Mattson Myers. McCall Coleman was junior bridesmaid. They were attired identically to the honor attendants.
Flower girl was Bella Wilkinson.
Andrew Blevins was ring bearer.
Rob Coleman served the groom as best man.
Groomsmen were Lt. Col. Nathan Gray, Burt Hayes, Mark Manning, Michael O’Neal and Mark Snider. Landry Coleman was junior groomsman.
Serving as ushers were Matt Culver and Drew Culver.
Guest book attendant was Lindsay Robbins.
Program attendants were Summer Lopez, Ella Maupin and Lucy Maupin.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Carnegie Hotel in Johnson City.
After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple are residing in Murfreesboro.
