Dianna Nicole Dishner and Spencer Aaron Stocton were united in marriage during an outdoor ceremony at Agota Springs in Kingsport on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. Keith Walsworth officiated the double-ring exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Carolyn Dishner of Duffield, Va., and the late Phillip D. Dishner. She is the granddaughter of Carson and Virgie Arrington of Duffield, and Ruth Dishner of Duffield and the late Don Dishner.
The groom is the son of Barry and Darlene Stocton of Roan Mountain. He is the grandson of Pauline Hill of Roan Mountain and the late William Hill, and the late Spence and Grace Stocton.
Given in marriage by her mother, the bride wore a silky taffeta Casablanca A-line gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline with custom crystal and pearl beading along the bodice and back with custom ruched straps. The gown featured a chapel-length train. The bride carried her father’s wedding band sewn into her gown.
She carried a bouquet of ivory roses hand tied and pinned with her great-grandmother’s broach.
Marla Schaaf, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She was attired in a tea-length, navy taffeta gown with a cap sleeved bolero. Her bouquet consisted of peach roses and hypericum berries.
Bridesmaids were Danielle Gillenwater Bowker and Rachel Williams Cox. Each wore a short navy taffeta gown and also carried peach roses and hypericum berries.
Nick Winchester served the groom as best man.
Groomsmen were Patrick Jenkins and Jordon Buck.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Agota Springs.
After a honeymoon in Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica, the couple are residing in Johnson City.
