Kristen Denise Guinn and Daniel Abe Grindstaff were united in marriage during a double-ring ceremony at Borderview Christian Church in Elizabethton on Saturday, October 29, 2011, at 2 p.m. Kirk Langston officiated the exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Patricia A. Guinn of Johnson City and the late Burl H. Guinn. She is the granddaughter of the late Alfred and Etta Grindstaff and the late Lester and Helma Guinn.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Randy Grindstaff and Linda Honeycutt of Elizabethton. He is the grandson of Anita Bullock of Elizabethton and the late Hubert Grindstaff, and the late Floyd and Ludella Honeycutt.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Dean Grindstaff, the bride was attired in a strapless mermaid-style gown of radiant ivory taffeta featuring a sweetheart neckline, embroidery accents that cascade across the bodice and around to the corset-tie back as well as gentle ruching.
She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, ranunculus and alstromeria.
Aleshia Watson attended the bride as maid of honor with Karrine Roberts as matron of honor. Each was attired in a floor-length gown of Victorian lilac featuring a sweetheart neckline and a corset back.
Bridesmaids were Rachel Bowman, Lacey Morton and Amy Ensor. They were attired identically to the honor attendants.
Derek Deakins served the groom as best man.
Groomsmen were Jody Combs, Tyler Shaw, Dustin Morton and Zachary Ensor.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at Carnegie Hotel.
