Hall – Reese


Laura “Elizabeth” Hall and U.S. Navy Ensign Daniel Clay Reese were united in marriage during a religious, candlelight ceremony on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Johnson City. Steve Witt officiated the double-ring exchange of vows.

The bride is the daughter of John and Nancy Hall, 2313 Edgewood Avenue, Elizabethton. She is the granddaughter of Glenn and Jane Allen of Knoxville, John and Louise Hall of Lady Lake, Fla., and the late Glenda B. Hall.

The groom is the son of Darrell and Lyvonn Reese of Murfreesboro. He is the grandson of Mrs. Ardath Reese of Murfreesboro and the late Ulyss Reese, the late Wynonna O’Neal and the late Gene O’Neal.

A program of wedding music was provided by Kayla Neikirk, harpist, and Joshua Bracken, organist.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride was attired in a strapless Lea-Ann Belter designer gown of ivory silk featuring a sweetheart neckline and a French Alencon lace fitted bodice. The mermaid-style skirt flared into a chapel-length train. She also wore a handmade garter that was worn by her mother and made by her grandmother, Jane.

For her headpiece, she chose a fingertip veil with matching French lace.

Her bridal bouquet consisted of ivory roses with the bride’s baby ring, baby cross and her late grandmother’s East Tennessee State University class ring tied into it.

Mrs. Megan Pinkerman Reese, sister-in-law of the bride, attended as matron of honor. She wore a short, strapless, pale celery green silk shantung dress with pockets. She carried a bouquet of blue and green hydrangeas.

Bridesmaids were Miss Amy Aubrey, Miss Brandi Marshall, Miss Lacey Pinson, Miss Robyn Reese and Miss Kelly Reese, sisters of the groom. They were attired identically to the honor attendant and also carried bouquets of blue and green hydrangeas.

Miss Cami Grace Lee of Murfreesboro was flower girl.

Ryan Reese, brother of the groom, was best man.

Groomsmen were Chip Rhome, Jordan McCaskill, Jamey McCaskill, Ensign James Prieto and Ensign Andrew Constantino.

Serving as ushers were Ensign Heath Heneveld, Ensign Tucker Witt, Ensign Rory O’Donnell, Ensign Jonathan Woolfolk, Second Lieutenant Dave Remick and Second Lieutenant Jerry Ross.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at The Venue at King Center, Johnson City, with music provided by The Phase Band, Winston-Salem, N.C.

After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple are residing in Charleston, S.C.
