Rebecca Osborne and Jake Oliver were united in marriage during a religious wedding ceremony at the home of the groom’s parents, 181 Blue Springs Road, Elizabethton, on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. The Rev. Danny Osborne and the Rev. Dexter Brummitt officiated the double-ring exchange of vows.
The bride is the daughter of Rev. Danny and Julia Osborne, 126 Stevens Circle, Hampton. She is the granddaughter of the late Arthur and Virginia Osborne and the late Floyd Jr. and Bessie Brummitt.
The groom is the son of Victor and Becky Oliver, 181 Blue Springs Road, Elizabethton. He is the grandson of Charles and Fredia Oliver, Larry Davis and Gary and Carolyn Grindstaff.
Music was provided by Brittany Crabtree Gibbs, who sang God Gave Me You.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a one-strap Ivory Essence of Australia A-line satin bridal gown.
She carried a bouquet of purple roses and purple hydrangeas.
Laura Osborne, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a long, strapless amethyst satin gown by Mori Lee.
Bridesmaids were Cassie Deloach, Paige Oliver, Andrea Smith and Lana Hicks. They were attired identically to the maid of honor.
Flower girl was Gracie Lewis.
Jackson Bunten was the ring bearer.
Victor Oliver, father of the groom, was best man.
Serving as ushers were Peyton Wood, Greg Osborne, Chad Lewis and Chance Morrell.
Following the ceremony a white tent reception was held at the residence of the groom’s parents.
After a honeymoon in Hilton Head, S.C., the couple are residing at 190 Echo Drive, Elizabethton.
