Ashley Walters and Brandon Pierce were united in marriage during an outdoor ceremony at Winged Deer Park – Meredith Pavilion on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at 2 p.m. Dr. D. Alan King of Erwin officiated the double-ring vows.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Millie Walters of Greeneville. She is the granddaughter of Charity Laster McKenna of Afton and Wallace Walters of Greeneville.
The groom is the son of Teresa Pierce of Johnson City. He is the grandson of JoAnn Pierce of Johnson City and Carl E. Pierce of Mooresburg.
Music for the ceremony was pre-recorded and directed by Trevor Miller.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a full-length A-line dress of white satin featuring cap sleeves and a sweetheart bodice covered with beaded lace. The gown boasted a chapel-length train.
She carried a bouquet of white carnations with purple daisies and Fuji chrysanthemums.
Leshea Rhodes of Johnson City attended the bride as maid of honor. She was attired in a royal purple dress.
Bridesmaids were Lora Walters of Greeneville and Jamie Walters of Chuckey. They were attired identically to the honor attendant.
Alexis Cox of Chuckey was the flower girl, with Kayden Burbank of Greeneville as ring bearer.
Justin Davis of Johnson City served the groom as best man.
Ushers were Justin Hamm and Josh Hamm of Elizabethton.
Kathy Street of Johnson City directed the wedding.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Meredith Pavilion of Winged Deer Park, also directed by Kathy Street.
Out-of-town guests included Catherine Hibely and Nykki Steele, both of Virginia, and Marty and Conway Thomas of North Carolina.
The rehearsal dinner was given by the groom’s family at Giovanni’s Restaurant in Piney Flats.
After a honeymoon in Charleston, S.C., the couple are residing in Johnson City.
