Who’s On The Wall: Bernie Britton died in Korean POW camp

Each week a number of persons visit Elizabethton’s War Memorial Park in Elizabethton. Most stop and read the names of men from Carter County, who made the ultimate sacrifice in America’s wars. Their names are inscribed on black granite markers in the park. They include soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines from World Wars I and II, the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom.
