Window displays fun way to attract holiday shoppers

Everyone has holiday memories.
My earliest memories of Christmases past are, perhaps, more nebulous than most. A few of the authentic details may have evaporated over the decades, augmented by my own imagination.
Some of my most vivid remembrances involve Christmas shopping, attending the annual Christmas parade in Elizabethton and viewing the action-packed store windows along Elk Avenue in downtown Elizabethton.
The tradition of decorating store-front windows with classic holiday scenes is epitomized by the Macy’s department store in New York City.
