Woman climbs from crashed car
A 68-year-old woman escaped through a passenger door Tuesday after her car went over an embankment along the Milligan Highway.

Emergency personnel tend to Betty Hopson of Unicoi, who was injured in a wreck Tuesday along Milligan Highway. She was taken to Johnson City Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
Elizabethton Police Department Sgt. Michael Sproviero said Betty Hopson of Unicoi managed to climb through her vehicle and exited out the passenger door, although the vehicle was on an embankment and crashed into a tree.
