Stephanie Bree Hill of Unaka High School was selected by the GFWC of Tennessee Elizabethton Woman’s Club to receive its annual scholarship award. She was selected from other outstanding seniors in the Carter County/Elizabethton School Systems.
Hill participated in several school activities and received many honors, as well as being valedictorian of her graduating class. Her favor
ite honor was being voted Miss Freshman by the teachers and staff of the high school.
As a freshman, she became a member of The Family Career and Community Leaders of America and was selected to serve as the vice president, a position she held until her senior year when she was elected president. She worked on several community projects with FCCLA, which resulted in her competing on regional, state and national levels.
During her sophomore year she was elected vice president of the Student Council and served as a member for three years. Other organizations she participated in were the Health Occupational Students of America, Spanish Club, National Honor Society and vice president of her senior class. In addition to her school activities, she works at Watts Studio Dance as an assistant dance instructor.
Hill has been accepted at the University of Tennessee and has received an Alumni Scholarship for that institution. She is recognized for her leadership and academic skills. She is the daughter of Regina Hill.
