The Muffets (Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, etc.,) are now boycotting Chick-fil-A. They say they won’t allow any of their toys in Chick-fil-A kids meals because owner, Mr. Cathy, is against same-sex marriage. In January I told some friends some extremely tolerant and non-judgmental (sarcasm) homosexuals and their friends have protested at a Chick-fil-A in Johnson City. They called Chick-fil-A owner Mr. Cathy a hater of gays. There’s no proof that Mr. Cathy has hate, but only that he stands by his Christian morals that opposes legal same-sex marriage, but isn’t preoccupied by it.
Mr. Cathy, like all Christians, loves everyone but believes children need both a mother and a father and Holy matrimony as defined by God. Because Mr. Cathy is a devout Baptist and gives money to Christian groups, liberal pro-gay-rights websites in the past months have labeled Chick-fil-A as anti-gay and Mr. Cathy has gotten negative press. Calling Mr. Cathy a hater is judgmental and boycotting Chick-fil-A is intolerant and mean-spirited. Gays are treating Mr. Cathy the very way gays say they are treated! Gays don’t see that their homopression and Christaphobia can be worse than other homophobia. Christians who don’t accept homosexuals’ love affair with their same-sex partner are being no less intolerant than
homosexuals who don’t accept Christians’ love affair with Jesus and His word, the Bible!
It sounds like gays are trying to scare off Mr. Cathy from donating to Christian groups that oppose gay marriage. They may be attempting to use the Jesse Jackson shakedown model to cut off funds to their opponents and guilt the company into donating to gay groups. Hold firm to your Christian values, Mr. Cathy. Be proud! You make great chicken and you’re not a chicken! Christians should make a special effort to support Christian businesses like Chick-fil-A, Sammons, Big John’s, etc.
Mike Huckabee said he is upset at the assaults on the Chick-fil-A company because they believe that the Biblical view of marriage between one man and one woman should be upheld. Huckabee asked people to join him in speaking out in favor of Chick-fil-A on Wednesday, Aug. 1, “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.” Huckabee said, “Let’s affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick-fil-A on Wednesday, Aug. 1.
This effort isn’t being launched by Chick-fil-A company. You may also tweet your support or send a message on Facebook.
